World Intellectual Property Day is coming up soon on April 26. The event was established by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) in 2000 "to learn about the role that intellectual property rights (patents, trademarks, industrial designs, copyright) play in encouraging innovation and creativity."
This year's campaign is titled, "Powering change: Women in innovation and creativity." The event focuses on how the intellectual property system can support and encourage innovative and creative women in bringing their inventions and ideas to market.
On April 26, use #worldipday and tell everyone about the female inventors and creators in your community.
